Dev Angst - Arisen from the Ashes

Today another blog has sprouted it's way up through the maelstrom that is the blogosphere, but hopefully this isn't just another tech blog. As this blog's name hints with 'Angst', it's intention is to cover a wide array of topics around the anxieties, frustrations and troublesome life issues that are thrown our way as developers. Ours is a secluded life but let's not suffer in silence. Dev's WOOARGH unite!

I've been striving for years to tame the chaotic paradox's of the father, the partner and the holy developer and I'm hoping I can pass at least some of this experience learned failures to you. I expect to receive plenty of flack for many posts but hey, if we post online expect the unexpected and in particular plenty of trolls - we're bearing our minds for all to be ripped out and bludgeoned to death with a blog comment.

Thanks for sticking with me this far.

I'm not an astrophysicist, nuclear scientist, nobel prize winner, world class musician or rock god. Neither am I a michelin star chef, celebrity, member of royalty or bestselling author. So why should you listen to me? Well, like you I'm a developer. I have the same passions as you and more than likely I've suffered a lot of the same old issues most of you guys have - if even this stuff helps at least one person then, in my eyes it's job done. I've attempted to start my own personal projects that have failed - I've received set-backs both personally and professionally but each time I've learned from them. This is a dumping ground for some of that learning.

So welcome one and all - join me on a journey to a less stressful developer life.
